Mareano

Definition: Mareano maps depth, bottom conditions, biological diversity, habitat types and pollution in the sediments in Norwegian coastal and marine areas. The Institute of Marine Research, the Geological Survey of Norway and the Norwegian Mapping Authority form an executive group in Mareano, and carry out the day-to-day operations. The overall responsibility lies with the program group led by the Norwegian Environment Agency.
