Definition: Data set shows localities with images of sample material as well as in some places images of the seabed taken with equipment lowered to the seabed. The database mainly contains data collected by NGU.
Images of the seabed and of sediment samples form an important basis for marine geological interpretation and map production. Pictures of samples provide good documentation of the bottom conditions.
There have made various tests to evaluate datasets in relation to the FAIR criteria.
