Gorgonian corals - Primnoa resedaeformis
Definition: The data set shows occurrences of Gorgonian corals of the species Primnoa resedaeformis observed on the MAREANO cruises. Primnoa resedaeformis is one of the most common species of Gorgonian corals that form hard-bottom coral gardens. The data set is shown as point data of individual occurrences based on visual observations along the video transect where MAREANO has collected video material. The data set is not comprehensive. The degree of coverage depends on the mapping effort that has been put into the different areas.
