Seabed sediments (grain size), overview

Definition: This dataset contains the grain size composition of seabed sediments upper part. In the attribute table of the data set, information is given about the different grain size classes based on the content of different fractions in sediments. By applying different symbologies designed to show the content of individual particle size fractions, the dataset can be displayed as a series of more specialized maps, e.g. Sediment mud content or Dominant grain size.

This data set can be used as basis for decision making in the overall land use and environmental planning, habitat mapping, vulnerability analyzes, impact analysis in connection with installations on the seabed etc.
