Seabed sediments (grain size), overview

Definition: This dataset contains the grain size composition of seabed sediments upper part. Grain size data are based on analyzes of seabed samples, analysis and interpretation of digital reflectivity data and interpretation of analog and digital seismic data. In the attribute table of the data set, information is given about the different grain size classes based on the content of different fractions in sediments.

Explanation of assessment of FAIR principles:

There have made various tests to evaluate datasets in relation to the FAIR criteria. These are our interpretations, which then assess the criteria in relation to standards and protocols used for spatial data in Norway and Europe. For more information on which calculations we use for each indicator, look at the details of FAIR assessments for each specific dataset.
