Enterprises with danger of major accidents

The dataset also shows all facilities in Norway that fall under Major Accidents Regulation (the Regulation on measures to prevent and limit the consequences of major accidents at enterprises using hazardous chemicals). Around 300 Norwegian enterprises are regulated by the Major Accident Regulation. These largely involves the process industry, chemical industry, tank facilities and explosive storage facilities. The Major Accidents Regulation implements the requirements that are defined for enterprises through the EU Directive Seveso III and enforced by the following authorities: Norwegian Climate and Pollution Agency, Labour Inspection Authority, Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection (DSB), Petroleum Safety Authority Norway and Norwegian Industrial Safety Organisation. The dataset is only issued for use for municipal and regional emergency response, spatial planning and building application processing, and only upon direct application to kart@dsb.no or karen.lie@dsb.no at the Norwegian Directorate for Civil Protection.

Usage
