Usage

The data will typically be used for planning purposes, design and construction work. Additionally, the spatial data for new or relocaded utility network will be exchanged between utility owners. Normally the data layer is used in conjunction with corresponding data layer for detected or uncovered utility network, and other documentation of utilities. The data layer is important when the utility owners provide documentation about existing utility network in a selected area, and as documentation of existing utilities prior to excavations and other work which could damage utilities.
