Usage

Information about anchorages is useful in decision-making tools in connection with planning and management work to avoid unnecessary outlay of facilities that make the anchorage unusable. The dataset can be used for planning, illustrations, research and analysis in connection with e.g.: - coastal zone planning - development in port areas and in the coastal zone - basis for different types of thematic maps - pre-engineering of various underwater activities - planning of fisheries and aquaculture - basis for protected areas - basis for emergency preparedness plans - pre-design of route for subsea cable/pipeline. The dataset contains data on anchorages that are not available elsewhere.
